Weekend Trip to Indiana

Happy kids at Monicals in Indiana

       Saturday evening we took the kids to Indiana. We stayed the night in Crawfordsville, and went swimming. The next day we went to Turkey Run State Park.

Across from the motel is a John Deere dealership. That we all had to check out after breakfast!

Then to Turkey Run. (which is only about 20 minutes away from the motel) The Lids and Doug were skipping rocks. Doug skipped the most times with 7 skips I believe.  All the kids were pretty good at it.

There were also people canoeing. The water was pretty shallow. There were also a huge amount of minnows that needed to be caught by lots of little hands! :)  Livie and Jake also fell in completely which made hiking interesting! :)

Beautiful Em.   By the way all these pix came off Em's phone.  I have a few more but can't seem to get my camera to cooperate with my computer. So we will use Em's for now.  :)

Me and Caleb in a cavern/ creekbed. He liked the hike very much. The trail we picked was pretty mild and fun.

Me & Em in the van after dark on the way home.  It was a really nice trip.  We had alot of fun. And I believe we will go back before it gets too cold. The kids want to do some canoeing, go cart riding, hiking, and a little more swimming. It was great just to be together. Thanks for visiting the Whitakers! :)
