Harvest Begins!

The Harvest Begins!!
This afternoon Doug was able to start picking popcorn at our place.  The company we grow for is letting the farmers pick corn at 21% moisture until Saturday with no dock. Ours tested at 20.9.  So we get to pick!   Everything went well and the corn crop is thankfully, praise the Lord, looking great! :)

The kids have been painting around the farm in the last couple weeks.

A couple expert painters and cow herders.

Liv dumped an entire bottle of baby soap in the tub.  Which made her very happy. :)

Doug and I went out to dinner a couple weeks ago with......

THIS ROWDY COUPLE!!!!  Who we also went on a go cart ride with (truly a blast!), and then went out for ice cream! :)  I can't wait to do that again!

Beautiful Sarah helped me.......

take THIS Wild bunch to the zoo on free day.  After which we had a picnic in the park.

Em came to visit one evening and got to sit in on story time with Dad.  :)

We've also been canning LOTS of tomatoes.  This one looked like it had a nose. So it needed some eyes and of course to have its picture taken.  :)

Lauren and Jonathan.
On the 18th Lauren married Jonathan. It was a beautiful, God honoring ceremony.  It was truly a blessing to attend.  We are so happy for them.  God brought Lauren into Em's life just when she needed a friend the most.  She has spent a great deal of time at our house and we are going to miss her very much.  She was also in Em's wedding in June.

Well, those are some of the highlights of our life on the farm.  Thanks for visiting! :)
