10

I want to tell you about a new little person that will be taking up residence in our home sometime this July.  For the last 14 weeks or so  he has been residing just beneath my heart.  :) ( Which is a very fitting location for all children dont you think? ) :)

On Sunday, Doug stood up in church with a huge smile and announced that he and i would be adding a new little person to our home. The look on his face was priceless! Happiness, joy, pride, thankfulness, humbleness all at the same time.  In the congregation there was alot of laughter, gasps, people looking at each other trying to count up in their head,"Now how many does this make?" :) It was great!  Then I looked over at one of our kids who was at that moment looking up to heaven and quietly saying, "Yes! Thank you! Yes!!".  :)  Then still, we had another who with tears in their eyes looked at us as if to say,"Our life is already full...how will you have time for me?". And the answer to that was a very reassuring, "We will." :) Always. No matter what.

Because while this is the greatest blessing Doug and I could ever imagine, it comes with great responsibility. Because this isnt just happening to us, but to all the Whitakers, big and little.  We aren't just collecting little people, but souls that will live this life, walk with God,(prayerfully), and make a difference for good in other peoples lives.  Wow! No pressure there.

So it is great happiness and joy that we share this news with you.  We cant wait!  The (interesting) name picking out, and wanting to know where he is going to sleep has already begun! :)
He is doing great, I am doing great, and Lord willing, it will continue that way!  Thanks for visiting and we will keep you posted! :)
