Wednesday Morning

Livie's onion harvest.
Its early here at the farm.  Everything is quiet in the house.  It's 7:00 and the kids are sleeping a little later this morning.  There's zucchini bread baking for breakfast and the house is quiet.  Livie and Doug are out on a motor cycle ride. (Liv does not sleep in....ever.) :)  They check the cows, check the pasture, check the fence, and just take a ride.  It's her job, her job with Dad almost every morning.

She gets up early every morning so she gets alot of one on one time with Doug and I.  We are mainly focused on trying to keep her quiet so allo the other littles can get a little more sleep.  So we go outside.  And with the way the heat has been it's really the ONLY time during the day that there is a chance to be outside.  On this particular morning she helped me pick a few of the onions and then we layed them on the front porch to dry before we take them in the house.

As you can see she has on her hard work clothes (pink), and a small bag of Doritos to keep her energy up. (not sure whats in the baggie, but its probably something really good!).  Anyway, she's fun.  She talks constantly.  It was her job to take the onions from the garden and then lay them on the porch.  I could hear her caring on a lively conversation from the time she left me all the way up to the porch.  It makes me smile just to think about it.  :)

Well, I'd better get the rest of them moving and keep an eye on my little girl now that she is back from her morning patrol of the farm with Dad.  The report is everything as it should be, and so all is right with the world.  Hope you all have a wonderful day.  I know with Livie as part of my day, ours will be exciting!  :)
