Rachels Home!!!

We think this is Rachel's plane. : )

Yesterday Rachel arrived in Peoria at 4:45pm.  It was a cloudy, somewhat rainy day.  We weren't sure she would be able to fly today, but Rachel said when they got to Panama City all the water was gone from the airport. She met with an escort (arranged earlier by Doug), and they helped her get on the planes she needed be on and had her sit in the office while she awaited her flight in Atlanta. This helped me a great deal knowing someone was keeping an eye on her and that person could help her with what to do if anymore of her flights were cancelled.
Livie and Jake waiting for Rachel to arrive.

: )

The welcoming crew.  (Dad and Sam were working, and Grace & Dan were keeping an eye on Katie. Thanks guys.)

Big girls. (And Jake. : )

A very happy, relieved, Mom. : )

Outside the airport.
This is a picture outside the airport.  I had never been to the Peoria Airport before.  I never would have guessed this was all up here.  Thankfully from what I understand this is a relatively small airport and it was easy to get around in, find Rachel, and get back home.  There was only one other plane that landed while we were there.  After we picked up Rachel from her escort, we found the car and went out to eat before going home.  Bryce came to meet us in Morton and we all had pizza. There were multiple questions and stories to be told. All of the little kids were excited in the car. Talking constantly. : )  They also, for some reason, started to tell Rachel every knock knock joke they knew.  And when they ran out they started making them up. We were all glad to finally be out of the car and eating!  : )  They are so goofy.
I dont expect to see Rachel much today. When she landed in Florida at the beginning of her trip she was sick and dizzy for about a day. So I'm wondering if today she will have the same experience. I hope not, but we will see.  She had a wonderful time visiting with the Miller's and we are so thankful for all the extra work they did having her for 2 weeks, but then everything  extra in trying to get her back home to us.  It was truly an adventure for all of us. : ) ~thanks for visiting. : )
