A forgotten post from last Thursday!

      Here's a post from last Thursday. I had planned on blogging it, but didn't have time. Here it is now! :)

Sam & I got an early start on the morning by hauling dirt from the field and putting it around Mom's hostas. (The dirt was washing away, leaving the roots showing)

The last couple of days, I've had time to ride Smokey for about an hour. Since it's Spring, he's a little headstrong and ornery at first, but then he behaves. I like to ride him in a canter in the field. He's pretty fast for being so fat!

I didn't realize Mom was taking this picture. I was just putting Smokey away after a long run.

Later on in the day...Jacob and I found a huge toad! I bet he wishes Jake would quit squeezing him!

There's some amazing action in this picture. At this point, I'm probably saying: "Jacob don't step on the toad!"
