Rachel 's 8th grade grad/ Dan's Kindergarten grad !

Last night was Dan and Rachel's graduation at Faith Baptist Christian School !

Daniel graduated from Kindergarten. This is his teacher Mrs. Smalley.

He is happy to be done and have the summer start! :)

Rach graduated from 8th grade. Here she is receiving her diploma from Pastor Collard.

She is also very glad to be done. :)

Grandpa Gary came to see the festivities. As did Doug's mom and dad. We are always glad when the grandparents can come!  (By the way...this is not my dad's hair. Anyone who knows him, knows dad is somewhat challenged in this area!  :)

We all had a great evening. The kindergartners demonstrated all they had been learning and even had a math quiz showdown. Which was fun to see them get so excited! Pastor Collard  gave sermon about  most graduates think this is the end and they are so glad it's over, but really it's only the beginning.  He compared it to when people are saved and they think ,"Oh, that's done," but really it is only the beginning .  That from salvation, we are sanctified, until we finally go to be with the Lord.  From beginning to end we will be changed to be more like Him. He said when we are saved:                     

     We are given the Holy Spirit of God,

        To help us to understand the Word of God,

     Because we are a child of God,

       So that we can become more like the Son of God.

Rachel will graduate in the year 2015. Daniel will graduate in the year 2023! 
It seems like a lifetime away, but I know from other things that have come and gone over the years it too will come and go in a blink!   All I do know is that we have this moment today...


All the kids have worked exceptionally hard this year and we are proud of them to say the least. We are also very thankful for a school that helps us educate our kids with every subject having a foundation based on the Lord, and what He wants them to learn and be.
