Norm's Bull.
This evening we added a very large critter to the list of animals at our farm. After unsuccessfully trying to A I some of our cows the neighbor offered to let us use his bull.
At first I thought this was a really good idea. Until they unloaded the bull from the trailer. Now I think I will be happy to see him go in a month or so. :) He is supposedly very gentle. He is 1/2 angus, 1/4 Simmental, and 1/4 salorn. He is just very big.

Moving the cows and the bull to the north pasture. Can you tell it hasn't rained for awhile?

Sarah helping Doug herd the cows. She is looking into becoming a large animal vet tech. (Dad thought this would be a good chance to be with some really large animals, other than horses that is. :)

Lots of spectators. :)
The biggest job will be keeping all of these little people on the outside of the fence and the bull on the inside!

Feeding hay.
And of course, last but not least a picture of Grace and Katie! :) Katie was unimpressed by the bull, and pretty much slept through it all! She is growing into quite a little chunk! :)
She is already 6 weeks old. The days go by slow, but the years fly by. Don't you agree?
That's about all for now. Thanks for visiting!
Everyone looks great! That BULL IS HUGE! YIKES!
ReplyDeleteLove the last picture! Will need to get together so we can meet little Miss Katie!
