Fathers Day

The greatest Dad in the world, with some of the greatest kids in the world!  :)
Sunday was Fathers Day.  We woke up to a wonderful breakfast served by some very talented girls, some really neat homemade cards, a few presents, (turtles and a very large candy bar!), got everyone ready to go, and then off to church. Which was inspiring, thought provoking, and great to be in the presence of God and worship. After church we spent the day with Doug's mom and dad at their place.
Gracie and Liv  :)

Michelle and Brooke hard at work in the kitchen!

Gracie filling up her plate with lots of good things to eat! :)

After supper some of the cousins went out for a mule ride around the farm.

Some of the many pretty flowers planted at grandmas house.

Dan, Jake and Matt on the trampoline.

Michelle, Em, Megan, and Sarah playing a lively game of Dutch Blitz!  (Notice how intent Sarah is on winning this game!!  :)

A little later Bryce came to visit and meet some more of Emily's family, which we were all happy about!  Sam talked him into jumping on the trampoline with him! Which he happily did. He is such a good sport!  :)

Sarah taking her hand at driving the mule!

Em, Sam, and Bryce  taking a tour of the farm.

A great picture of Doug and Olivia.

This is a picture of Doug showing Olivia the proper way to hook a car up to a tow truck! :)

And then, of course the games began! Which was some of the greatest moments of the day!! It was hilarious to say the least!  Quite a few breath taking moments. Leaps and dives, and that was just what the father's did!  You should have seen the little kids! :)

Doug getting ready to hit it over the road!

Gracie has quite a swing!

Bryce, sliding, falling onto 3rd base!!  :)

Matthew making a great hit to bring everybody home!

Doug and Dwight  no worse for wear st the end of the day!
We all had the best father's day ever.  My dad even got to come and eat and visit for awhile while we were at Doug's parents.  It was great to have time to spend with him on such a fun day!  He's always funny and keeps everybody laughing!  It was great to have all the dad in one place and to realize what a blessing it is to spend time with them. They have worked hard, loved us, taught us so many things, guided us, and carried  so much responsibility for us over the years, just because they wanted us to know we were loved and so that someday we could, (and are), doing the same for our own kids.  We are so grateful for their examples of what real men are and do for their families!  :)    At the end of the day after kids were bathed, kissed, and bedded. Bryce came and visited at our house for awhile, and we all contemplated whether we would be able to get out of bed in the morning! :)  Then after a few card games of our own, the day was done, memories made, and time for sleep.  What a great day!  What a blessing to have family to be with.  Thank you Lord!  Thanks  for visiting. :)
