Doug's 45th Birthday

Doug's 45th Birthday was Dec. 19.
We had a great party.  And yes there are 45 candles on that cake!  :)  Quite a bit of heat!  :)
Sarah was our master cake decorator.
Putting all the candles on was a 2 man job!
It was a beautiful night for Dec. So Doug decided to have pork chops for his special birthday supper. They turned out wonderfully!
His birthday presents all came from the Sears tool department. :)
All the littles got to help Dad open presents which is always fun!  After that we all went outside and let off fireworks.  It's hard to believe it's December with all the warm weather we have been having! But it sure made for a nice night outside with the kids!  :) It was alot of fun celebrating Dad's special day! We  have been blessed with a great dad, and husband! Happy Birthday!!
Last night Bryce came over to visit.  We decided to give him our Christmas present since he won't be able to visit for Christmas.  Can you tell what it is????  :)
Since we've gotten to know Bryce he kind of let it slip that he doesn't really like snakes.  So, of course, since we really like Bryce, we have to tease him a little bit!  :)
This is Bryce proving that he is NOT afraid of snakes! (rubber ones anyway. :))
And of course, we had the usual rough housing!  :) I think Sam is losing!

This is my favorite gift so far of the year! :)
After we opened presents, had more birthday cake, and put some littles to bed we played some games and visited some more.  Til way to late in the evening! It was well worth it. It's been a great couple of days so far at the Whitaker Farm and it isn't even Christmas yet!
Today is the kids last day of school.  They will go for a whopping 3 hours.  The school is taking all the students ice skating. Doug is going too.  I hope to get some pictures of this.  Sarah and all the kids are happy about dad being there of course!  They will then be out for almost 2 weeks! I cannot wait!  :)  Let the fun begin...Or continue, I guess!   That's about it for now. Thanks for visiting!
