The first snow of the year

Doug walking in from the parking lot at the motel
We were in Chicago for the first snow of the year.  We took Grace for an prosthetic check up, and overnight it snowed.  Thankfully we drove up the night before, anticipating some snow, and didn't have much driving to do that morning.
There wasn't alot of accumulation.  Just enough to make it slick. :(

Sleepy kids just waking up.  :)

Doug and Caleb ready for a busy day.

The front of the hospital
Since Grace was 6 months old we have been bringing her here a couple times a year. The hospital specializes in just children with many different needs.
What else can you do while waiting but have a staring contest!  :) (Doug won because he made Gracie laugh! Totally unfair!)  :)

Waiting at the next appointment.
After she sees the doctor at the hospital. We then go to Scheck & Siress. This is where they make her prosthetics. Sometimes these appointments 1-5 hours long. Depending on what needs to be done.  They are the nicest people to work with and they treat us like we are the only patients they will have that day.  They have kept Grace walking, running, jumping, and doing all the things little girls need to do for almost 8 years now.
Happily waiting.

He ! He!!  (Did I mention that Chicago driving is tiring and somewhat stressful?)

One of the great people helping Grace Friday.

We had a very successful trip.  Grace had a good check up, and by Friday afternoon we were on our way back home.
The girls playing with CalebHe is actually smiling and laughing in this picture but the camera was too slow to capture it!

Close ups of naked, chubby babies! :)

A very comfortable little man.  :)

On Saturday Doug and the kids unloaded about 125 bales into the barn from the Sauder farm.
Livie thought she'd better help dad. :)

A very hardworking Rachel & Sarah getting the job done.

Olivia & Caleb showing some of their play dough sculptures. Notice that nifty brown color? You can only obtain that  beautiful color by mixing all the play dough together! :)     That's about all for the past few days.  Thanks for visiting!
