| A cake for Em and Bryce's special day! :) |
We decorated the front porch with 58 mason jars, 83 candles (some inside),4 strands of white Christmas lights, 10 yards of tulle, and a white tables cloth runner that ran from the front door all the way down to the driveway! When they were on their way to our house Bryce let us know so we had time to light all the candles, and get the lights turned off!

| Doug stringing the lights on the porch for his little girls big night! |
| We had beautiful candlelight everywhere. |
| The view from the porch out to the driveway. |
| Happily waiting, making sure everything was perfect. :) |
| They're coming!!!! |
We waited inside the kitchen watching out the windows, quietly, ok maybe not so quietly! Excitedly! :) Dan said a prayer for them, and thanked God that they would get married. :) When they pulled in Bryce walked Em up to the path and then we turned on the white lights on the porch. It was so pretty. Everyone in the house was completely silent, listening, watching ,hiding in the dark. There are no pictures of the proposal. We felt fortunate enough just to see this special moment and didn't want to make ourselves anymore obvious than necessary! But we have pictures after!!
| Complete happiness! |
| Bryce gave Emily a willowtree wedding cake topper for a present from him. (Emily really likes these figurines and so this one, of course, was very special!) |
| Inside the house was also very pretty too. |
| Hugs from everybody. :) |
There was alot of laughing, jumping up and down, hugs, and excitement! (And not just from me!) :) Everybody is so happy for Bryce and Emily! After that all the littles went to bed, and the sending of emails, phone messages, blogging began. In a short amount of time they had many, many well wishes from people everywhere who are very dear to both of them!!! Isn't technology great?!
We couldn't be happier. For years now we have prayed for all of our children to someday meet a Godly man or women. And Em is the first to have this prayer answered. God is so good. His timing, his order of how he wants things done, His bringing Bryce into Em's life when He did. Perfect. He is a good, Godly young man and he will make a great husband and Lord willing, dad someday. Em is also a very sweet Godly young lady who from as early as I can remember never wanted a big career. She always wanted to meet a wonderful young man who she could make a God honoring life with. To be a wife and mom. A keeper of her home. A very content, peaceful, incandescently happy keeper of her home. :) As a parent seeing our kids step into one of their biggest dreams is indescribable. :)
One other thing that happened today. My dad stopped to hear all the wonderful news. He couldn't wait any longer, and I also think he is planning a trip into Precision today. It was all he could do when we were telling him all the details of last night not to cry! Tears of great happiness, and a very strong love for his oldest grandaughter. Who he has loved with all his heart for 20 years now. It's times like these that we will all cherish in our hearts forever. :)
Well, that's it for now. :) We will keep you posted on dates and things. :) It will be an exciting year for sure! Praise God! Praise God!! :)
thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! for making it beautiful and more special, and for sharing the pictures so we can all be involved!! Caryn:)
ReplyDeleteKristi, this post and these pictures actually made me get all choked up and teary...and I'm typically not much of a "crier". There is nothing like a God authored love story! You can see the love and complete happiness in their eyes. What an amazing answer to prayer! I'm so happy for your entire family and I have to say, you all did an amazing job decorating the porch and cake and everything. Just awesome!
