A weekend vacation to.....Peoria? :)

A happy little baby on vacation. :)

     We decided to take a small vacation from everyday life this weekend.  On Friday evening we went and stayed the night at a local motel to swim. Which we all like to do, and the fact that it only took us a half hour to get there made it even better!  This particular motel was also kind enough to let us all stay in the same (big) room.

We turned on the tv and this is the screen that came up.  So, of course, I HAD to blog it! :)

     After a night of swimming and sleep? We headed up to Peoria to do some bungie jumping at the mall. 

Olivia loved it!  She was little enough that she never did touch the ground once they got her bouncing! :)

      We had a ball. Everybody did it.  I've got a couple movies but one of the kids will have to load them on the blog for me. So maybe tomorrow.  It was exciting to say the least.  Once they got you in the contraption they would pull down hard on the cords and send you flying HIGH up in the air.  Sort of like a human sling shot.  There was more than one scream. You simply couldn't help it at first, until you realized you were still strapped in and you weren't going to die!  :)Also if you suffer from motion sickness this may not be the ride for you.  But give it a try anyway!  :)

Bass Pro.  ( Don't we look like tourists? :) )

      After bungie jumping we ate and then went over to the new Bass Pro.  We had never been there, except Em.  It was really neat.  Huge, to say the least.  Lots of neat camping stuff, a rifle shooting range, huge fish aquarium, all kinds of stuffed animals through out the place.  Boats, rangers, every outdoor thing you could imagine.

    After that it was time to head home.  Enough excitement for the Whitakers for a couple days. And the best part, we were home in about an hour!  Unpacked and ready for bed.  It was great.  We all did  a couple things we had been wanting to do plus swim!  And not spend alot of time in the car.  Which, NOBODY wanted to do!  :)  The kids were happy and so were their dad and I.  That's about it for now.
