| Everybody packed in and on our way! |
Don't you sometimes wish everyday could be Sunday? Sometimes I do. Or that you had a State Park in your back yard. I do. : ) We had an adventure filled day yesterday with lots of hiking, running, laughing, climbing, mud, slime, and dirt. It was perfect! Where did we go? You guessed it Turkey Run. :)

| Liv getting comfortable on the ride over. : ) |
| Katie Hope. : ) |
| Sarah thinking it might be more fun to have Dad carry her on the trails. : ) |
| Big Kids. Our nephew Phillip, from Missouri, came with us this time. |
| Soft shelled turtle. (I think Rachel is going to put a video of him on her blog flipping over. Neat!) |
None of us had ever seen a soft shelled turtle before. He was very fast, and in the water he looks like a leaf.
| Everyone wanted to see. :) |
I am constantly amazed by my kids. They will put their hands in the murkiest of water to see if they can catch something, or dig down into mud under a slimy. Or pick up a creature they never seen before to get a closer look. I like watching them explore. The hardest thing for me as their mom is to be quiet and just see what happens. And not constantly be afraid of the worst. (falling off cliffs, going off the designated trails, picking up things that potentially bite or sting, sliding into water...Stuff like that.) Andso I try to let them be kids. ; )
| Sam looks like he's walking on water. He's actually in the middle of a fairly wide creek. It had some shallow spots you could walk out to. |
| : ) |
| They did lots of rock climbing this time. Up and down the canyons, inside little caves, squeezing through different places. |
| Gracie caught a black, slick frog. When she put it in water it could swim really fast. |
| Daniel doing some climbing. |
| Gracie keeping up with the boys. |
| This is actually really high and very steep. It was hard to get a true perspective of what they were doing. |
| Rachel keeping Liv safe. Livie told me the rocks are slippery. |
We hiked for most of the day, ate supper, and then headed back home. Like I said, I wish everyday was Sunday. So that we could be together and explore. : ) But today is Monday. Time for school, chores, harvesting, and all the other things we get to do together. I am thankful for these too. Around here everyday is an adventure! That is for certain. Thanks for visiting. : )
