Sledding with the Sauders!

On Saturday Doug ran some errands in the morning. First visiting the Steiners and then sledding at the Sauders ! It was a pretty nice day and everybody was excited!

Little Jake.  (This is what Doug looked like 40 something years ago. Minus the pink snow suit!) :)

The Sauders driving up to the top of the hill.

An excited bunch of Whitakers and Sauders ready to go!

Even their new little dog Copper got to go. Doug tells me this sled that little Shepherd is in went really fast!!

My handsome farmer.  :)

This is a HUGE hill the kids got to sled on. They had a great time. (We live in a mainly flat area so this was a real treat!)

One of the Sauder boys snow boarding all the way to the bottom of the hill. Great job!

Unfortunately with this Big hill came a long climb  up. But Jake doesn't seem to mind. :)

A fierce snowball fight broke out at our house! Fearless Daniel takes aim at an unsuspecting bystander!  :)

They're all ganging up on Grace.

The dog joins in on a snow ball fight.

The next day (Sunday) the virus caught up with Jake. He's taking it pretty well. And soon he'll be back to his happy little self.  He's the last one to get it. So soon all the Whitakers will be well again! :)  It was a great weekend of being with friends. After sledding on Saturday Doug and I were able to spend a couple hours in the evening with The Nickersons and The Wheats to visit and play some games. (I wish I would have taken my camera, next time. )   It's always great  to be with them and laugh! We are grateful God has put so many wonderful friends in our path along the way. I don't know what we'd do without them! Well that's about it. After supper, baths, singing, prayers, hugs, kisses, bed.Good night!

  1. Great sledding pics - looks like you all had a good time. Glad you're almost all well again. Maybe we can get together soon (if we stay well...)
