Wrestling,Rockets and Friends

Its been a busy couple of days. Thus the reason that I am posting 2 days pictures at one time! :) The first few are actually from Friday. Which was a pretty normal day.

This is a very impressive creation of Gracies. Its a play dough horse and rider.  Pretty good huh? :)

Olivia is helping Grace with her Math homework.  :)

After Doug got home from work there was a huge wrestling match at the Whitakers.

Olivia is getting the best of Doug. I think about now he's wishing we didn't feed our kids so well! :)

Poor Sarah got a little too close and was pulled into the game.

Sam trying to rescue Sarah or maybe trying to get her while she's down!

For Sam's 10th birthday last month he got a book on how to make rockets out of soda bottles. (There is also one for a rocket made from 5 gallon water bottles, but we'll probably wait for warmer weather to make that one.) So today (Saturday) they decided to try and make one.

This is the book put out by Vision Forum that they got the ideas from. (I'm not sure why it's sideways, but you get the idea.)

The first couple launches didn't go off so well, but after some modifying, it worked really well. The rocket went about 150 feet give or take. It was hard to keep track of on the video, but it was really neat. We're looking forward to trying some of the other suggestions in the book. One has a rocket made from 5 soda bottles put together. And we had most of the things on hand to make the rocket.
This evening (Saturday) we visited our friends the Kaisners. Turns out they have the very same rocket book .So there was much discussion on all the neat things that could be done and tried in the days to come!

Dean and Amy got in this one with their kids. We had a great time visiting with everyone and Amy is a wonderful cook! What a blessing good friends are!   Well that's about it. It was a great day and thankfully we get to do it all again tomorrow. Thanks for visiting. Good Night!  :)

  1. Looks like we need to invest in that book! Our children love rockets.
