A busy morning!

This has been a very busy morning at the Whitaker Farm! Anyone with a family I am certain can relate! :)  It all started about 4:30 AM. Yes, AM! When Rachel had to get up to start her day. She is going to Shaumburg, IL (I think I spelled that wrong) Anyway, for a school competition that she is in today. She is in a choral event, a Bible quiz, and duet acting with a friend from school. They are competing against other Christian Schools in Illinois so it will be a fun day for her.
OK, next, get back home(after a stop at Walmart for lunchbox stuff.) 7:00am  unload groceries. Run down put gas in the mini van, give the keys to Em, and she's off to work. Then, 7:15, go back in the house, pack lunches for Sam, Grace, Dan, Jake, Doug. They are all going on a field trip (through school), to Wildlife Prairie Park.  They will be back after school today. Also, Sarah has a field trip today to Springfield. She is going to visit the state capitol and meet a Senator/ Representative, I believe ,with her class. She will come back home with Doug today also.   At the end of the day after Em gets off work she and her good friend Lauren are going to see "Celtic Women." A singing group of women that play violin and sing. That is at 7:30 tonight. (Thank you so much Dave and Kathy for the tickets!) Are you keeping this all straight???   All the Whitakers are in different directions today.
Now, back home. That leaves Olivia and I.  I plan on a very low stress day. I love days alone with her in the house.  We will probably take a nap, eat, watch Arthur on the computer and that is about it!  A lovely break with my sweet girl.  And a happy family doing fun things today with friends seeing all kinds of neat things. I'm looking forward to everyone getting home and filling me in on all the adventures!  :)
Here's some pictures from our last few days.....

Yesterday it was nice outside, but rainy which meant puddles. So, of course we HAD to play in them! :)

It's a very good thing God made little kids washable!!  :)

Sam was inside working hard on school.

A couple days ago one of Sarah's goats had 2 babies. I can't remember now if they were boys or girls.  Do you need a goat?  Sarah is officially selling out of the goat business after about 8 years. We no longer milk them, we don't eat them, and recently they have been roaming all over the farm causing all kind of mayhem in the orchard and flower beds. They have also taken a liking to visiting the road. Which is always interesting.  :)  And so, although over the years she has sold a few, it's time they go.    If it doesn't really have a purpose it can't stay.  With the exception of the horse, of course.

Gracie and Liv on Easter morning.

The young Whitaker men ready for church.  Not a lot going on. We pray that we will get a break from the rain soon as we have yet to plant anything. Time is ticking away.  We did actually see the sun last night for a few minutes. It was strange to see the sun after so many days of gloomy gray.  I am certain that in a matter of days the sun will come out for good and things will dry up.  It always does. Thankfully.  Wouldn't it be great to store up some of this rain for July? :)  Well that's about it for today. (It's still only 8:30 am),I feel like we've been through a whole day!  I'm looking forward to the rest of it being much calmer!  And restful.  Thanks for visiting. :)
