OH NO! The washer died!

Last Friday our washer stopped working! OK, don't panic! Just call the repair man from Neils (Day 1). (Doug's busy.) He can have us going again in no time! (Day 2) The repair man comes. The part to fix it will cost half as much as a new washer. It's now 7 years old, has been run at least 3-4 times a day most everyday of the week....The old girl has done her time and is now worn out. R.I.P.  :)  So! Hurry up! Drive up to Neils and get a new one so we can bring it home and get things caught up quick!  They will have to bring it and they can't bring it til MONDAY!! (sigh! faint!) Another two whole days. Are you keeping track? It will be at least 4 days before I can do laundry.  That equals at least 12 loads. (faint!)  On Sunday Doug we had sickness in our house. (more laundry.)    I took most of our laundry into town Sunday morning. It took 9 washers, and $15.00.  BUT in about 45 minutes all the laundry was clean and I was on my way home!  (smile)  I hung it all on the line, as there was space, and thought we would now survive til Monday night.     The old washer was removed to the garage. Sam gets to dismantle it to see how it works, and then it's going to Peoria to the scrapyard.   Our new washer then arrived...A Front Load washer!! Being something none of us knew anything about. Doug and I both read the instructions. It's different, but has been great.  My clothes are dryer when they come out, there is almost no lint, and we use very little soap.   Happy days are here again!  I never dreamed growing up I would be so elated over an appliance!  :)

Everyone wants to watch the laundry being cleaned now. It's neat to actually be able to see what's going on inside there.

I was reading the directions and noticed a warning that said not to put any pets inside the washer or it may result in injury to the animal. Well...no kidding???  BUT then I started to think...little boys...curiosity....danger....(faint!  :)) I started looking for a safety lock!  Praise the Lord! There was one. So they cannot open the door, and only I can to put clothes in and take clothes out. And otherwise it's locked!   This washer was built with my children in mind. :)

We got a Mr. Potato Head play dough set. This is one of Jakes creations.

This was a dog Sam made.

During rest time Sam and Grace went downstairs and put the train together. It's not out all the time because it takes up alot of room. Sam got this for Christmas about 6 years ago, and we've added to it over the years. It's really durable and they really like it. The only downside is the batteries the trains take, and some of the buildings light up and make music. So they take batteries also.  Other than that, it's one of the longest, neatest toys we've ever gotten for them.   Well that's about it for today. The washer is fixed and all is right with the world once again!  Thanks for visiting!

We love the Geo Track as well . . . and you are right . . . it takes up too much room.
