| A rainbow after the storm. :) |
About a week ago we had a hail storm and just a little rain. After the rain stopped the clouds parted just a little and we were able to see the sun shining. A very wise friend told us it had been a solar eclipse that evening. It was beautiful the way half the yard was so dark and the other half was light. The sky was a very pretty dark blue, and the shadows were quite impressive. We had never seen anything like it.
| The clouds rolles back just enough to reveal beautiful sonlight. If they had not we wouldn't have gotten to see any of it. God is so good to share such spectacular things in His creation with us! :) |
| Another look at the rainbow to the south east. |
| We all had to come out and see of course! Rachel taped it while I took pix. |
| This is a picture to the north of our house toward town. |
It makes me think of the verse in It Is Well With My Soul. And Lord haste the day when our
faith shall be sight , the clouds be rolled back as a scroll, the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend, even so it is well with my soul... Things that are hopes for, just not yet seen.
But all just right there all the time waiting for the right time, the very special day! :) |
Next up a dust storm on the 24th!! Doug said there were lots of real estate transactions
happening this day, because all of the neighbors were sharing dirt with each other! :) |
On the 24th we had high winds and a huge dust storm! This is the view to the north east of our house. There are a good deal of seed corn fields up this way that have just been planted over the last week and a half.
| This is the farm to the East of us. Makes me think of the dust bowl. You really couldn't see much at all. And to top it all off.....In the middle of all this dirt was my husband.....(see below). :) |
| He had an irrigation on a seed corn feild in need of attention. |
You really can't get a true idea of just how dirty this man was. So much so that he wan't entirely sure that he wanted it blogged! :) But he eventually said it was OK. He and Sam worked to get the irrigation back in order and then had to take the tractor a mile down the road to Uncle Johns farm to put it in the shed. From what Sam tells it was a really long drive (with Doug in front in his truck), and Sam following, trying to see taillights, in the tractor. I am glad that is over. And also very thankful that between the hail and the extreme dust there seems to have been very little corn damage. Thank God! :)
Well that's about it for the Mason Co Farm weathr report. :) Other than it now being very hot, it has been somewhat quiet out here. ~Thanks for visiting. Good Night!! :)
