At 3:30 this morning Rachel and Doug left for the Peoria Airport. They are getting on a 6:15 flight to Panama City , Florida. Rachel is going to visit her good friends Kimberly and Katie, and all their family. : ) She has never flown before. : O. Because of this fact Doug is flying with her. She will have to fly home by herself. And retrace the steps she took with Dad to get there. We truly considered sending her on her own, but with a layover in Atlanta, changing planes to then get to Panama City we , (I, who has never flown, got a little stressed out about the idea of my 3rd oldest baby being alone at an International airport.) And so, Doug came up with the plan to fly with her. He will not only get to spend the whole day with Rachel, but for him flying is quite the adventure. : ) He will return on another Delta flight later this evening. It's hard to imagine going from Peoria, to Atlanta, to Florida, and then back all in one day. As of now (Rachel has arrived in Florida. Her friends live an hour away in Alabama. They are meeting her at the airport. After they say their good byes, Doug will begin the trip home. An exciting day for sure!
